Clean Eating Challenge: Lunches
Well how is everyone getting on with the clean eating challenge? Don’t forget to keep us up to date on the blog! To those who have successfully changed your breakfasts, it might be time to begin looking at your lunches and how you can improve them. Remember preparation is key- and Tupperware of course!!
Here are some simple lunch ideas which you can try- I find soups great as you can make a big pot at the beginning of the week which can be used for a few lunches. Baked sweet potato is also another simple idea.
Clean Eating Challenge: Breakfasts
As discussed, the best way to implement a clean diet is to change one meal at a time. Here are some useful links for firstly changing your breakfasts or beginning to eat breakfast- most important meal of the day remember! Eggs are a great source of protein and can be cooked in advance, I also use hard boiled eggs as a snack. Don’t forget if anyone finds any of their own recipes or has any recommendations, bring them in for the nutrition board so others can try
Below are some links to clean eating and paleo sites that you may find useful and I will be posting other stuff on the noticeboard in the gym as well. Don’t forget to bring in any recipes you use or have tried and would like to share. MC

CrossFit is the primary training program followed by us (but not the only one).
It is undoubtedly one of the single best ways to get in shape. The diet, the exercise and the community make it a one-stop shop for top tier fitness: those that stick with it see amazing results. Unfortunately, many people think it’s too hard for them, and that they need to prepare prior to participation with their own weightlifting and cardio routines. WRONG! CrossFit is a general physical preparedness program that builds strength, cardio, endurance, coordination and other physical skills and it does it faster and more efficiently than doing the modern split of weight training and cardio. Yes it’s tough but it’s far from impossible. Doing new things, breaking out of ruts, and growing as people is what keeps us alive and vital as we age. Sticking with the same old routine day-in and day-out makes us old before our time.
CrossFit training is completely scalable meaning it is easily modified to suit most people! Weight, reps, times, etc., can be reduced or increased, or an alternative exercise or activity can be used. Anyone looking to improve physically and athletically, or just take on a new fitness challenge will find it with CrossFit.
